Nostalgia

I am hopelessly nostalgic. I love going to high school football games, even though my kids have graduated. I love 4th of July parades, complete with floats, and marching bands, and lawnmower precision drill teams. I love looking at old photo albums, and sharing new pictures. I love sharing family stories with my daughters. I love using old dishes, and linens, and furniture. I love keeping old traditions alive, and creating new ones, too.

My friend and technical advisor, who helped me set up my blog, asked me why I am doing this. I guess the easiest answer is because I love to read and respond to other blogs. I love the learning, and the sharing of information among friends. Welcome to my blog, and I look forward to hearing from you!

Quote for the day: ”The shortest and surest way to live with honour in the world, is to be in reality what we would appear to be; and if we observe, we shall find, that all human virtues increase and strengthen themselves by the practice of them.” - Socrates
