I had the happiest moment today! I got a request from Miranda, my nephew Nathan's new wife. She wanted permission to list me as her aunt on facebook!
Do I need to say how quickly I responded with a yes?!!! I am thrilled and so happy to have Miranda as my new niece - I teared up as I typed my response. She is a darling girl, as beautiful inside as she is outside. Oh no, there go my tears again! My new niece - Miranda Heggestad!
We've had such a great summer - even though it's been the hottest one on record! So many fun day trips, concerts, plays...and recently, a one-week visit from our #1 daughter, Emily! Once long ago it lived on Hannah's bed, and now it's our "go to" picnic or beach blanket. Emily moved to Boston a few weeks ago, along with her boyfriend, Matt. They will both be starting graduate school very soon - actually, Emily's first day of classes is tomorrow at Boston University! We took a car trip to Minnesota over Memorial Day weekend, and I wanted a hand-sewing project to work on in the car. What to do? While I enjoy hand work, I just don't do it that often - so I had to dream up a "fun" (you'll get the meaning later) project.
