I think my favorite part is that their ears are kissable - yes! We love our lab! (don't worry Cohen, we love beagles too!)

As you can see, Gen and I had some fun taking pictures while waiting for Scott to bring the car around (bless him, my feet were tired!). Before that, though, we found a gallery that was like a "greatest hits" of the Institute - American Gothic, Nighthawks, The Portrait of Dorian Gray, they were all right there. Just amazing.
After our tour, we journeyed by Prius to see Gen's new Logan Square apartment, which is GORGEOUS and HUGE! Did I say it was HUGE???? It might even be bigger than our house! (Our house is little!)Here you see: thai chicken pizza (Rachael Ray recipe); potato crostini, salmon with herb sabayon, and praline pecan, beet, and mozzarella cheese salad. The potato, salmon, and beet recipes were from "Small Plates for Sharing" , from the Practical Gourmet. We also had Dukkah Beef Skewers (not pictured).
The man driving the other car was FINE, and the cop DIDN'T give him a ticket. Miracle, miracle, miracle! We are all SO GRATEFUL! Many hugs and kisses for Scott!
Aren't they a good-looking group? As you can see, not everyone was able to attend this year - I have it on the last day of school, and some have already left town for the holidays - but we still had fun! Seen above, left to right, front row: Katie, Becky, and Madi. Middle row, left to right: Lucas, Kyeon, Miles, and Jill. Back row, left to right: Tyler, myself, Ian, Emery, Ella, and Will.
It is so fun to see these kids grow up. They are all delightful kids and it is my pleasure to teach them. Yay Christmas piano party 2011!
Happy new year! Here's hoping for peace in our world! A quote that I carry around with me is from my hometown pastor, from years ago -...
